Job Title : Diesel Mechanic

Pay : $30-$45

Location : Scarborough, ME

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified diesel mechanic with 2-3 years of experience to join our expanding team in Maine. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing trucks and other heavy equipment. Candidates with an active CDL will have the opportunity for increased pay due to their ability to operate the trucks. Experience in dealerships with a focus on diagnostics and preventative maintenance is highly desirable. The position is a first shift, Monday through Friday, with a $3.00 per hour shift differential for night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair trucks and other heavy equipment.
  • Conduct diagnostics and preventative maintenance.
  • Utilize mechanical skills to ensure efficient and effective repairs.
  • Work with diesel engines, hydraulics, and caterpillar equipment.

Essential Skills

  • 2-3 years of experience as a mechanic.
  • Proficiency in diesel engine repair and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance.
  • Understanding of hydraulics and heavy equipment.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of in-shop mechanic work.
  • Diesel experience is a significant advantage.
  • Possession of a CDL is beneficial.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $115000.00 / yr.
