Position :

  • Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery Rate :  Starting at $80.00 / hr Hours :  36 to 48 hours per week Shift :  7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM (Rotating Day / Night) Location :   Chinle, AZ 86503 Contract Length :   13-week Contract Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients throughout the childbirth process.
  • This role involves monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, supporting pain management strategies, including epidural and PCA administration, and assisting with labor, delivery, and related procedures.
  • The nurse will collaborate closely with physicians during exams and deliveries and ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient conditions using electronic health records.
  • Additionally, the RN will offer guidance and education to patients and their families on labor expectations, pain management options, and newborn care.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and assess both fetal and maternal status using specialized monitoring equipment.
  • Administer pain relief methods, including epidurals and patient-controlled analgesia.
  • Support physicians during labor, delivery, and post-delivery procedures.
  • Document patient assessments and care activities accurately in the electronic health record system.
  • Provide education and emotional support to patients and families throughout the labor and postpartum period.

    • Requirements :

  • Active and unrestricted RN license Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required Valid IDs (Driver’s License, Social Security Card) Diploma or transcript from an accredited nursing program Ability to provide at least 2 professional references Up-to-date health records (MMR, Varicella, Physical Exam, etc.) Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems Powered by JazzHR
