Job Details

Primary Responsibilities :

PDM Workflow Design & Development

  • Create, maintain, and improve workflows for CAD data, ECOs, and engineering documentation in the PDM system.
  • Standardize folder structures, file naming conventions, and lifecycle transitions to support scalable production processes.

    • Automation & Data Population

  • Build or support scripts / tools that auto-populate metadata, data cards, or document templates within the PDM system.
  • Help automate common engineering admin tasks, such as drawing release, revision control, and shop print packet generation.

    • Administrative PDM Management

  • Set up and maintain user roles, access controls, and system rules for document lifecycle states.
  • Monitor system performance, resolve file status issues, and troubleshoot user-reported problems.

    • Data Governance & Quality Control

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and traceability of engineering documents and production files.
  • Assist in regular audits to ensure data consistency across the vault.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience or certification in administering or supporting a PDM system (SolidWorks PDM preferred).
  • Familiarity with workflow design, change management, or lifecycle management tools.
  • Competency with basic data management concepts (metadata, indexing, document control).
  • Exposure to industrial, manufacturing, or signage-related environments is a plus.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, scripting tools, or automation platforms a bonus.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
