We're looking for a Compliance Lead to join us onsite at our HQ in Long Island City, New York! In this role, you'll have the important responsibility of ensuring compliance standards for our fleet. What you'll do
- Oversee fleet compliance operations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring all vehicle titles, registrations, inspections, emissions tests, city stickers, and permits meet TLC, DOT, DMV, and state-specific regulatory standards.
- Maintain a 95%+ passing rate on all Taxi & Limousine Commission (TLC) inspections by proactively managing vehicle readiness and coordinating internal pre-inspections.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, and Supply teams to schedule, track, and resolve compliance issues in real time, ensuring uninterrupted fleet operations.
- Manage regulatory relationships — liaise directly with TLC officials, Medallion owners, DMV agents, and local compliance partners to streamline approvals and resolve violations.
- Maintain and audit documentation related to fleet titles, registrations, insurance, toll transponders, and inspection logs using digital systems and trackers.
- Oversee toll collection and violation management, including account audits, transponder inventory, and payment reconciliations.
- Execute the hack licensing process for new and transferred vehicles and coordinate recovery of impounded or non-compliant vehicles.
- Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all compliance workflows — ensuring scalability and consistency across multiple markets.
- Generate and deliver compliance reports to senior leadership, highlighting performance metrics, inspection pass rates, and operational risk areas.
- Monitor evolving regulations from TLC, DOT, FMCSA, DMV, and city / state agencies, translating requirements into actionable operational updates and training for the team.
