Leadership Lackawanna Program and Events Coordinator (Part-Time)
Location : Scranton, PA (In-office position)

The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce is seeking a highly motivated and outgoing professional to serve as Program and Events Coordinator for Leadership Lackawanna . This position plays a vital role in supporting the organization's operations, fund development initiatives, alumni outreach, and signature leadership programs, including Tomorrow's Leaders Today for high school juniors and Leadership Collegiate for college students.
This is a dynamic, fast-paced role where no two days are alike. The ideal candidate will thrive on building connections, coordinating events, and engaging with students, alumni, and community leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Tomorrow's Leaders Today and Leadership Collegiate programs, including marketing, recruitment, scheduling, billing, and facilitation
- Manage logistics such as speaker arrangements, field trips, waivers, insurance, transportation, and catering
- Support fundraisers, alumni engagement, and community outreach efforts
- Oversee program evaluations to measure outcomes and improve curriculum
- Collaborate with the Executive Director on program design, events, and fundraising initiatives
- Assist with marketing, communications, and promotional materials in coordination with Chamber staff
- Attend after-hours and occasional weekend events as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience consideredStrong organizational and communication skillsOutgoing personality with the ability to build relationships with students, parents, alumni, and community partnersExperience in program coordination, event planning, or nonprofit administration preferredMust have reliable transportation and the ability to lift / move up to 20 poundsAbility to obtain and maintain all necessary clearances for working with minorsAdditional Information
