Overview

Red Arch Solutions is hiring a UI / UX Designer for a priority program in Annapolis Junction, MD. Candidates in this position shall be responsible for crafting pixel-perfect user interfaces that enhance the usability and overall user experience for a family of web applications. Must be familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies.

Responsibilities

In this role, the UI / UX Designer shall be responsible for the visual layout, styling of web pages, and making key decisions in color, typography, and iconography in component design.

Required Skills

Active TS / SCI with Polygraph

Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. OR Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. OR Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Basic understanding using the Linux CLI

Proven experience as a UI / UX Designer

Proficiency using UI design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and Sketch

Strong understanding of UI layout principles, design systems, responsive design concepts

Solid understanding of color theory, typography, iconography, and visual hierarchy

Familiarity with the Gestalt laws of perceptual organization

Familiarity with web technologies including HTML and CSS

A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality UI / UX design artifacts

Position Desired Skills

Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)

Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies

Compensation

Base pay range : $160,000.00 / yr - $185,000.00 / yr
