Certifications : BLS and NIH required, ACLS preferred

Cardiac monitoring skills

Emergency response experience

Post Cardiac Angiogram care experience

Management of dysrhythmias

Experience with IV therapy and phlebotomy

Feeding tube care and management

Care of ventilated patients

Understanding of isolation precautions

Description :

The position is for a Stepdown / PCU RN.

The nurse will work a day shift of 4x12 hours.

The role requires helping manage patients in a fast-paced environment.

The unit serves patients of various diagnoses.

The nurse will float as needed within their scope of practice.

There is a requirement to work every other weekend.

Experience with cardiac monitoring is essential.

The nurse will manage a patient ratio of approximately 1 : 4.

Required skills include interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of cardiac drips.

Care of ventilated patients and chest tubes is also necessary.

Knowledge of post-surgical care, particularly for cardiac and neurological patients, is important.
