Accounting Manager

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our Accounts Payable and Procurement operations in Irvine, California. This role emphasizes process improvement, automation, and team leadership to ensure operational excellence. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you will play a vital role in managing workflows, optimizing systems, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration.

Responsibilities :

Oversee Accounts Payable and Procurement processes, including purchase order matching, invoice management, and supplier master file maintenance.

Lead and mentor a team of 6-7 professionals, supporting their growth and development at various career stages.

Manage account reconciliations related to accrued expenses and other organizational accounts.

Drive system and workflow improvements to enhance automation and efficiency in AP / PO processes.

Collaborate with departments such as IT, Real Estate, and Maintenance to ensure seamless AP and procurement operations.

Participate in projects related to workflow rollouts and upcoming supply chain implementations.

Maintain a balance between compliance requirements and a service-oriented approach to internal stakeholders.

Support month-end close processes and contribute to financial reporting as necessary.

Build and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders while promoting a culture of accountability and transparency.

Requirements :

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting, with a focus on Accounts Payable and Procurement.

Proven skills in financial reporting, including SEC reporting and EPS analysis.

Experience with annual and SEC financial reporting processes.

Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of managing and developing teams.

Proficiency in implementing system and workflow automation to optimize operations.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across departments.

Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.

Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
