LaSalle Network is partnering with the Finance Department at a leading University of Medicine and Science to hire an experienced and forward-thinking Interim Staff Accountant. Core Responsibilities for the Interim Staff Accountant :

• Own and manage assigned general ledger accounts, fixed asset records, and perform complex reconciliations, ensuring the financial integrity of the University and Health Clinics.
• Take the lead on patient care accounting and reconciliations, collaborating with patient care divisions to optimize fiscal processes and enhance financial reporting.
• Act as a project leader on Finance technology initiatives, serving as the financial representative for cross-functional groups evaluating and implementing major ERP / financial system updates and other core financial systems.
• Drive continuous improvement by reviewing processes, refining documentation, adhering to internal controls, and creating new accounting structures (GL accounts, account strings, budget pooling).
• Prepare essential schedules and gather information to support the institution's independent auditors and assist with critical third-party reporting.
• Serve as a mentor to other members of the Finance team, using your experience to build capability. Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with departments across the entire institution and Health Clinics.
• Review and post payroll accounting entries with accuracy and attention to detail.

Essential Qualifications of the Interim Staff Accountant :

Compensation is based on an hourly rate of $34-40 per hour, depending on experience, skill set, and contract terms. LaSalle Network contractors have the opportunity to enroll in benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
