Job Description
My client in the high-tech electronics industry is hiring for a Quality Control Technician. The person will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of products; first article inspections; interpret drawings, BOMs (bill of materials), and customer documentation; and perform other duties in alignment with IPC 600 / 610 and J Standard 001.
- This is a Day Shift, Temp.-to-Perm Contract position. Direct Hire for the ideal candidate.
Responsibilities :
Perform mechanical and visual inspections in receiving inspectionFirst article inspection of parts and report discrepanciesPerform quality audits using drawings and BOM documentation to maintain product standardsConduct final inspections to verify materials, processes, and overall quality before shipmentDocument all acceptances and discrepanciesCoordinate with various departments : engineering, production, sales, and customer serviceMaintain quality records for evaluation of performance outside vendors and throughout internal processesEnsure compliance with customer documentation and report any in-process issues or discrepancies according to IPC standardsQualifications
High school diploma or GEDIPC 610 Certification RequiredMinimum 1 year of quality inspection experience in high-tech companiesPrevious manufacturing experience requiredSoldering skills and component identification requiredSkilled in small hand measuring tools, test lights, and microscope workAbility to read, write, and perform basic mathEnglish : able to read, write, and comprehend instructionsAccurately charts inspection and test dataAble to repeatedly lift, stand, climb, and bend in a manufacturing settingFamiliar with ISO9001, AS9100, or ISO13485 processes preferred
