Role Summary
The Director, HCP Oncology Marketing will support the development of marketing strategy and lead implementation of key tactics to support the US business. The brand marketer will be supporting our targeted IDH solid tumor brands with and work on an exciting new product launch.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support development of the strategic plan for the US market for the IDH solid tumor portfolio to achieve rapid product uptake and meet or exceed organizational objectives
- Develop and execute tactical plans for HCPs that pull through brand strategy, to ensure rapid product uptake and meet or exceed expected financial return
- Consistently manage multiple projects to deliver high-quality work product in a timely fashion
- Evaluate the effectiveness of HCP marketing programs and recommend changes in strategy or tactics as appropriate
- Effectively track and manage marketing budget for areas of responsibility
- Manage creative and media agencies to work within budget and deliver high quality work that aligns with brand strategy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Patient Advocacy, Market Access, Sales, and Medical, to ensure alignment, advance the business, and exceed business targets through implementation of brand strategy and tactics
- Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance stakeholders to ensure development and execution of compliant marketing initiatives
- Communicate and collaborate with Sales Leadership and the Sales Force to implement brand strategies and maintain adherence to appropriate regulatory and Pharma guidelines
- Apply innovative new technologies and solutions and apply market research, consulting, and other customer insights to inform decisions for HCP stakeholders
Education and Required Skills
Bachelor of Science or Arts (or equivalent work experience), MBA preferred, with minimum 8+ years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or other specialty healthcare industry, including 5 years in marketingDemonstrated ability to lead development of marketing strategies and lead execution of key tactics to drive adoption and growth of inline products in US specialty or biotech market; experience with hematology, oncology, or rare disease products strongly preferredExperience with various components of marketing mix (i.e., promotional approaches)—particularly HCP promotion and field-facing materials—and with prioritizing resources to most effective areas to drive resultsStrong project management skills with ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities, external agencies and vendors, and promotional budgetsStrong understanding of legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotion, pharma industry guidelines, and other compliance-related issues including experience taking marketing pieces through promotional review processes (Veeva Vault PromoMats preferred)Ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally to implement sales or marketing programs with measurable business impact in a heavily matrixed, fast-paced environmentAbility to clearly communicate at all levels of the organization as well as with external audiences
