The Cooper’s Hawk Bartender builds relationships with our Guests by setting up, maintaining and operating our bar, in accordance with our recipe standards. They have a full understanding of food, beverages and wine service. The Cooper’s Hawk Bartender collaborates with other Cooper’s Hawk Team Members to provide timely, exceptional hospitality and service to our Guests. The Bartender helps grow our Wine Club community by educating our guests on the program and inviting them to join.

Greet all Guests with hospitality; engage and answer questions about food, wine, and facilities in a friendly, helpful mannerMaintain full knowledge of Cooper’s Hawk food, drink and wine menusActively educate Guests on the Cooper’s Hawk Wine Club; invite them to participate in the Club to expand our membership baseActively communicate with Servers and Service Assistants to ensure we are delivering a memorable Guest experiencePrepare all beverages according to Cooper’s Hawk’s recipes, using proper measuring toolsServe alcoholic beverages in an appropriate manner consistent with company standards and legal guidelinesConsistently increase knowledge of food and wine, and all other Cooper’s Hawk products and servicesMaintain awareness and basic knowledge of retail area functions and retail products as well as how tastings are conducted, their cost, and the wines featured on the current monthly tastingMaintain a safe, sanitary, organized, and stocked work areaWash and sterilize glassware and prepare garnishes for drinksComplete necessary side work during non-busy hoursHandle cash and utilize the MICROS system according to company standardsFollow departmental checklists and standard operating procedures to ensure work areas are prepared for opening, mid-shift, or closingRemain behind the bar during the shift, unless replaced by a managerPerform other duties as assignedWhat You’ll Need
Must represent Cooper’s Hawk ValuesMust be at least 21 years of ageA minimum of 6 months of bartending experience requiredExperience in a full-service, upscale casual restaurant or an equivalent service environment preferredMust be comfortable actively educating our guests on the Wine Club membership program and inviting them to join.Excellent Interpersonal skillsAn individual who thrives in a team-based environmentA hospitality-focused individual with a passion for guest service, wine, beer and spiritsExperience using Micros or similar POS systemAbility to communicate clearly with Guests, Managers and Team MembersAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAbility to stand and walk up to 10 hours per shiftAbility to lift and carry up to 40 poundsMust be able to read, write and understand EnglishAbility to perform essential functions to Cooper’s Hawk standards and with reasonable accommodationAbility to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and some holidaysCooper’s Hawk reviews several factors when establishing compensation.
