The Plant Controller provides financial leadership to the Jackson, TN manufacturing facility. The Plant Controller is a dynamic leader and responsible for maintaining a controls environment that complies with the Company's internal control policies and Sarbanes Oxley. The Plant Controller is expected to be a dynamic leader on the plant leadership team by contributing to all areas of plant management. This is a hands-on role requiring successful candidate to work at both detailed task level and higher management support level.
Reports to : Jackson Plant Leader and dotted-line to Regional Finance Leader
Span of Control : 2 salaried direct reports, 1 Financial Analyst development program professional and 3 hourly indirect personnel

The Plant Controller is the business partner for the Plant Leader and Plant leadership team for all aspects of the full financial context of the plant's activities.He / she is a strong contributor to our two strategic pillars : productivity and capital efficiencyHe / she is responsible for maintaining a control environment that complies with the Company's internal control policies and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).He / she manages all the processes linked to financial planning & analysis in the plant, as well as supply chain and procurement.The position reports hierarchically to the Plant Leader with a strong functional reporting accountability for driving results to the Manufacturing Finance Leader of the Region and is a key member of the local management team.Safety

Ensures the coordination, delegation and successful completion of site security functions, included but not limited to : Managing / implementing OC Security Standards, quarterly assessment of security equipment, security capital project management, incident investigation coordination (contact for local authorities, communication with WHQ), site contact for security audits and visits, and monitor completion of WHQ required training.Leading and developing talent
Creates an environment where talent is developed through effective performance management, talent evaluation systems and utilization of people.Acts as a resource to the non-financial leaders of the business providing education and training on the key principles of Finance.Invests in the growth and development of his / her direct reports and other identified talent in their organizationJOB REQUIREMENTS
Prerequisites :
Strong financial acumen with demonstrated analytical ability accompanied by knowledge of corporate finance and manufacturing costing principles, understands P&L and balance sheet dynamicsProviding leadership to organizations within a manufacturing operation(s) - leading operations planning, savings, forecasting and investment analysisDemonstrated high growth in previous experienceStrong skills on Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookExperience :
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or relevant discipline or at least equivalent through proven track record and working experience of 5 to 10 years in a similar function in an industrial operations environmentExperience in operating in a range of economic conditions, i.e. expansion, contraction, stable economic conditions - forecasting, scenario planning, risk analysis and contingency developmentProviding leadership within a manufacturing organization leading operation planning, savings, forecasting and investment analysisParticipating in the development of strategic plansAbout Owens Corning
