Company Description

Alhambra Growth Partners is a private investment firm focused on teaming up with operating partners to help them buy businesses they can run. Our model is to work with operating partners to identify compelling businesses and then facilitate the acquisition of the business and support them as long-term operators. Our primary focus is on small to medium-sized businesses that present significant opportunities for operational efficiency, cost reduction, and revenue growth driven by AI and custom developed technology. We focus on sourcing, executing and arranging financing for these transactions and look to operating partners as the long-term owner and CEO / President of the business. This is not a typical private equity operational advisory role – this is a program to become the majority owner and long-term operator of a small to mid-sized business.

Role Description

The CEO / Operating Partner will initially evaluate acquisition opportunities, contributing to due diligence and transaction execution. Upon successful acquisition, this role transitions to full-time operational leadership of the business. Target companies typically generate EBITDA between $0.5 million to $2 million and annual revenues from $2 million to $20 million. We focus on uncomplicated businesses operating in large, fragmented markets where we see opportunities for value creation through the application of AI and custom-built technology, including sectors such as building maintenance, engineering / architecture, healthcare services, B2B services, construction, franchising, light manufacturing, technology, and software.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze potential acquisitions, assisting throughout the business acquisition process.
  • Serve as President / CEO post-acquisition, overseeing comprehensive P&L management, strategic growth initiatives, and day-to-day operations.
  • Drive the implementation of AI solutions and customized technologies to achieve substantial cost savings and revenue enhancement.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and increase profitability
  • Be onsite as the day-to-day operator of the business (this requires relocation to portfolio company HQ for at least two years)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of previous business ownership, management, sales or operations experience
  • Strong business acumen, with a focus on generating strong free cash flow and EBITDA
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a willingness to take on high levels of responsibility and drive business growth
  • Proven ability to increase profitability through proactive business development efforts
  • Please note this is not a paid position until the completion of an acquisition. Post-acquisition compensation will be market competitive with significant wealth creation opportunity through equity ownership in the business
