Float Resident Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY :

Pick your own shifts at various locations based on the needs of Monarch Healthcare Management! This is a full-time or on-call position with weekend requirements.

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing tenants with the highest quality of direct routine care in all activities of daily living, under the supervision of the licensed nurse or AL Clinical Manager and in accordance with the Service Plan, MDH Nursing Assistant Program standards, the Tenant’s Bill of Rights and the campus Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. According to the Plan of Care for the tenant, RAs apply skills in basic nursing, personal care and basic restorative services while understanding the mental health and social service needs of the tenant and being mindful of the needs in cognitively impaired tenants. The RA is part of the interdisciplinary care team that is dedicated to promoting independence, autonomous decision-making and facilitating tenants to achieve and maintain the highest practicable physical, mental and psychosocial well-being. The Resident Assistant can be trained in medication administration and give tenants medications as needed.

The Monarch Float Pool was created to help offer staffing assistance to our own Monarch facilities. Pick your own shifts based on the needs of Monarch Healthcare Management. Travel is expected for this position and there are benefits available. Current Float Pool positions are available in the following areas : Chisago City, Faribault, Foley, Gaylord, Grand Rapids, Lake Crystal, Mankato, Mapleton, Maplewood, New Prague, Plainview, Two Harbors, Waseca, and Winsted.

Qualifications :

Resilience : ability to welcome constructive feedback, course correct and not take it personally.

Personability; ability to get along with all personality types and inspire trust with tenants, staff, and family.

Experience in the healthcare industry; experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred
