Senior Controls & Automation Engineering Specialist
We're seeking an experienced Controls & Automation Engineering Specialist to lead PLC and SCADA system development across our multi-state manufacturing facilities. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic system development, offering an exciting opportunity to shape our automation future.
Position Overview
As our Controls & Automation Specialist, you'll serve as a technical leader across our facilities in Ohio, Minnesota, and Illinois, focusing on web handling, coating, and slitting process automation.
Essential Responsibilities
- Design, program, and optimize PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
- Lead automation initiatives for web handling and coating processes (hot melt, solvent, emulsion, UV curing)
- Develop and implement control system integration solutions for motors, sensors, and actuators
- Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting support across multiple facilities
- Build and enhance internal controls engineering capabilities
- Manage and coordinate with external automation contractors when needed
