Forklift Operator

JOB SUMMARY : The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely operating stand-up and sit-down forklifts to pick, move, and organize equipment and supplies within the warehouse. This role includes performing manual tasks such as shrink-wrapping pallets, stacking products to maximize load efficiency, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The position requires strict adherence to client's safety guidelines and completion of an 80-hour training program before operating independently. The role follows all California health standards and is a 90-day assignment starting from the date of hire. Key Responsibilities : Operate Raymond stand-up and Toyota sit-down forklifts to move materials safely and efficiently. Pick and transport equipment and supplies based on order requirements. Use an RFC scanner to track and record inventory movements. Manually shrink-wrap pallets and stack products to optimize space utilization. Follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas at the end of each shift. Follow instructions and guidance from department leads. Participate in 80 hours of required forklift operation training before independent work. Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support operations. Required Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience operating stand-up and sit-down forklifts. Ability to use an RFC scanner for inventory management. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed. Good communication skills and the ability to follow directions accurately. Must comply with California health standards and company safety policies.
