Job Title : Maintenance Technician

Location : Chicopee, MA

Job Overview :

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Asphalt Yard Technician to join our team. This role is vital to the smooth operation of our asphalt plant and yard, involving a mix of general labor, equipment operation, and hands-on maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, welding skills, and the ability to fabricate as needed, with opportunities for training in batch plant operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Support asphalt plant maintenance and upkeep.

Perform general labor tasks around the yard and plant.

Operate equipment, including skid steers and lulls, safely and efficiently.

Assist in batch plant operations through hands-on training.

Fabricate and repair parts as needed, utilizing welding skills and mechanical knowledge.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Collaborate with team members to ensure operational efficiency and project deadlines are met.

Qualifications :

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Experience with welding and fabrication preferred.

Ability to operate heavy equipment such as skid steers and lulls.

Willingness to learn and assist with asphalt batch plant operations.

Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies.
