Job Description

Patrol & Community Safety 55%

• Conduct regular patrols by foot, vehicle, or bike of the campus property, including academic buildings, residence halls, and grounds.
• Monitor for and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or unauthorized access.
• Check and secure buildings after hours; open and unlock buildings or rooms as assigned.
• Report lighting and other facility issues to Facilities Management using appropriate work order systems.
• Provide walking safety escorts and lockout assistance to members of the campus community.
• Assist with traffic control, parking enforcement, and visitor guidance as needed.
• Attend department meetings and training sessions as assigned.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Experience

1 to 5 years of experience in security, law enforcement, emergency response, or a related field.

Additional Information

This position is part of a team that operates 24 / 7 / 365. Shift assignments may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Uniforms are provided. All offers are contingent on successful completion of a background check, including CJIS clearance.
