The Role

We're looking for a Staff Android Engineer to lead the development of the company's flagship mobile app. You'll architect the Android stack, set technical standards, and build a high-performance, secure, and beautiful app from the ground up.

You'll work closely with a highly experienced founding team, including a CEO, COO, and VP of Product (a veteran of several successful startups) and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver a product that defines a new era of financial access.

This role may expand into a mobile leadership position overseeing Android, iOS, and mobile web platforms as the company scales.

What You'll Do

Build and ship high-quality Android applications in Java or Kotlin .

Architect and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable mobile systems.

Partner with product, design, and backend teams to deliver great user experiences.

Establish standards for performance, reliability, and testing.

Contribute to the mobile roadmap and influence cross-platform strategy.

What You'll Bring

5+ years of experience building and shipping consumer-facing Android apps at scale.

Expertise in Java or Kotlin , with strong fundamentals in performance and architecture.

A product mindset and ownership mentality you care about user experience and outcomes.

Entrepreneurial energy, curiosity, and comfort working in fast-moving environments.

Bonus points if you have :

Experience building for Latin American markets or in fintech .

A good design sense and a full-stack skill set across the mobile or backend stack.
