An advanced ambulatory surgery center is seeking a Surgery Center Administrator to lead a high-performing team across five modern operating rooms. This Surgery Center Administrator will join a physician-partner governed ambulatory surgery center featuring 5 operating rooms dedicated to Orthopedics and Pain Management. Accredited by a nationally recognized body, the center maintains strong quality, safety, and patient satisfaction outcomes. With a collaborative governance model and robust perioperative services, the Surgery Center Administrator will help guide strategy, growth, and performance for an organization known for innovation and reliability.
The Surgery Center Administrator reports to the Governing Board and a regional operational leader, and oversees key leaders including the Director of Nursing / Clinical Manager, Business Office Manager, Materials / Supply Chain, and Facilities. In addition, the Surgery Center Administrator partners closely with the Medical Director, anesthesia leadership, revenue cycle, IT, and case-scheduling teams to drive daily throughput and service excellence. The Surgery Center Administrator also interfaces with physician partners to align case growth, block utilization, and service line development.
The Surgery Center Administrator will lead daily operations for 5 ORs supporting high-acuity outpatient Orthopedics and Interventional Pain Management, with a dynamic, fast-paced rhythm anchored by experienced RNs, surgical technologists, sterile processing, and pre-op / PACU professionals. The culture the Surgery Center Administrator will nurture is collaborative, accountable, and patient-first, with exceptional anesthesia partners and board-certified surgeons. Tools and processes include evidence-based pathways, efficient turnover practices, and data-driven scheduling to optimize access and patient experience.
The Surgery Center Administrator will mentor and develop clinical leaders, champion competency validation, advance infection prevention and quality improvement programs, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and accrediting standards. The Surgery Center Administrator will own budget management, revenue cycle oversight, staffing plans, supply chain optimization, contract negotiation, and physician relations while steering growth initiatives and marketing to expand orthopedic and pain services. The Surgery Center Administrator will also drive operational excellence through KPI dashboards, case-cost analysis, pricing strategy based on market and cost data, and consistent communication through staff forums and board reporting.
