Job Description :

The Deputy Site Lead supports the Site Lead in overseeing daily operational functions and the administrative and logistical backbone of exercise delivery at Camp Lejeune, NC. This role focuses on coordinating site activities, ensuring planning and preparation milestones are met, and maintaining compliance with contract requirements, local regulations, and established processes. Responsibilities include assisting with financial oversightsuch as timecard review, staffing coordination, facility costs, and vehicle fleet managementwhile ensuring smooth execution of support functions that enable successful training events. Responsibilities Include :

Support to Site Lead - Reports directly to the Site Lead on all matters concerning local program operations, administrative functions, and logistical support for MCTIS at the fielded location and during Deploy-for-Training activities.

Program Administration & Compliance - Ensures site operations are executed in alignment with contractual obligations, local laws and regulations, and established Saab processes, policies, and strategies.

Budget & Resource Oversight - Provides input to and helps manage the site budget, including cost control, staffing allocations, facility expenses, and vehicle fleet requirements.

Exercise Planning & Coordination - Works with the Site Lead and Operations Officer to support the planning, preparation, and coordination of MCTIS exercise support activity at both home-site and non-home-site training locations.

Operational Support - Advises USMC staff and training units on effective use of MCTIS capabilities and proactively supports Master Events List activities with administrative and logistical solutions.

Health, Safety & Compliance - Responsible for day-to-day OSHA and safety compliance at the site, ensuring all activities meet local laws and corporate requirements.

Systems & Maintenance Oversight - Ensures MCTIS training systems are properly configured, maintained, and supported through preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Oversees serviceability of site vehicles, spare parts inventory, and resupply operations.

Procurement & Logistics - Manages purchasing, shipments, and logistical coordination to sustain site operations and exercise delivery requirements.

Process & Quality Management - Maintains and updates site Work Instructions (WI / SOPs) to ensure alignment with business management guidelines. Reports system effectiveness, efficiency, and improvement needs to Saabs Quality & Environmental Manager.

Continuous Improvement & Best Practices - Shares lessons learned, contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures best practices are applied across local program operations.

Other Duties - Supports additional site functions as required to sustain CROW operations and ensure successful execution of training events.

Security

Security Awareness - Assists in educating site personnel on security procedures and requirements.

Security Recommendations- Identifies potential security risks and suggests appropriate corrective actions.

Incident Reporting - Reports security-related incidents to the Training Operations Manager and Saab Security Manager in accordance with established procedures.

Access Control - Verifies the identity of unauthorized individuals present at the site and takes appropriate action.

Physical Security Oversight - Ensures that locks, doors, fencing, and restricted areas are properly secured, and reports any deficiencies to the Security Manager through the Incident Report System.

Other

Warehouse & Equipment Support - Assists with warehouse operations, pre-exercise equipment maintenance, and other logistical tasks as directed by Site Leadership.

Marketing & Representation - Provides support to Saab marketing activities and represents the program as required.

Training & Cross-Skilling - Participates in continuation and cross-training activities as directed to maintain operational flexibility.

Performance Input - Provides input for performance assessments of MCTIS System Analyst team members, when requested.

Exercise Preparation & Briefing - Delivers capability briefs or After-Action Reviews (ARB) for Marines prior to exercises and participates in training events in the U.S. or overseas as required.

Surge Support - Provides surge capacity to other locations in support of MCTIS exercises, including Non-Homesite Installation Training or major events such as SLTE or MWX at other USMC installations.

Other Duties - Supports additional site functions and duties as assigned to ensure successful operations of the CROW.

Compensation Range : $ 99,100 - $ 128,800

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education / training.

Skills and Experience :

BA / BS degree in engineering, business, or related discipline and 8+ years of experience.

Former USMC officer (Maj or above) or Senior SNCO (MSgt or above).

Knowledge of USMC organizational processes and training requirements.

Proven experience leading teams of 50+ personnel (10+ years).

Experience in budgeting, cost tracking, and resource allocation to support exercise delivery cycles and recurring operational requirements.

Experience in guiding daily work activities, coordinating team tasks, and ensuring adherence to standards and timelines, even in roles without formal direct reports.

Program management experience is a plus - Preferred background in overseeing projects or programs, ensuring alignment of resources, schedules, and deliverables across multiple lines of effort.

U.S. Drivers License.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Must be able to obtain a U.S. Passport.

Ability to travel for up to 14-days to conduct training or support a training event.

Potential for extreme weather conditions (over 90 degrees, or below 30 degrees).
