Tests and inspect products at various stages of production process. Evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. May specialize in a particular area of quality control, such as incoming material inspection, set up inspection, PPAP’s, or final inspection.
Requirements
- Advanced blueprint reading skills
- Ability to read and understand work instructions
- Must be able to use hand tools such as micrometers and calipers
- Ability to use optical equipment such as comparators and OASIS machine
- Must be able to use profilometers and microheights
- Advanced computer skills
- Good working knowledge of various computer programs such as Vantage, SPC, Word and Excel
- Ability to use gages (go-no-go gages, thread gages, St. Mary’s’, Talyrond, hardness testers, microscopes, etc.)
- Basic math and reading skills
- Ability to understand visual standards
- Ability to learn and adapt to changes quickly’
- Must be able to multitask
- Ability to prioritize
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand 8-10 hours per shift
- Safety minded at all times
- Must be able to read and understand basic English
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers
