Department : Athletics

Title : Assistant Cross Country Coach

Job Summary : The Assistant Cross Country Coach supports the Head Coach in leading a Christ-centered cross country program that promotes athletic excellence, character development, and spiritual growth. Responsibilities include assisting in daily practices, meet preparation, team logistics, and mentoring student-athletes in line with the school's mission and values.

Lines of Authority : Reports to the Head Cross Country Coach (Erika Mickler)

Education : High School Diploma or GED required.

    • Qualifications :

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and Christian values.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience coaching at the secondary level, preferably in a school setting.

    • Transportation : Reliable transportation.

    Physical and Mental Effort : Requires dedication, resilience, and commitment to student development.

    Classification : Exempt

    Hours : Seasonal position.

    Essential Functions

  • Key Responsibilities :
  • Lead and mentor student-athletes, providing instruction, guidance, and character development.
  • Assist in practices focusing on skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Represent the school with integrity at games and events.
  • Support the Head Coach in organizing team activities and meets.
  • Spiritual Development :
  • Model Christ-like behavior and serve as a positive role model.
  • Other duties as assigned.
