Civil / Environmental Project Engineer

Overview

Terracon's South Central Region (KS / MO) is looking to add a Civil / Environmental Project Engineer to work out of one of the regional offices (Lenexa, Manhattan, Topeka, or Wichita, Kansas; Columbia or St. Louis, Missouri).

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and consulting services for a broad array of environmental projects and clients.
• Prepare proposals and cost estimates; track and evaluate project progress and budgets; provide recommendations.
• Apply sound engineering principles and communicate complex engineering issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients and project teams.
• Produce a quality product by performing quality control checks and ensuring consistent quality standards on all projects and proposals.
• Manage mid- to large-sized projects.
• Maintain excellent communication with clients and your manager to keep them informed on project status.
• Prepare proposals and reports for projects of varying complexity; perform quality control reviews of proposals authored by others.
• Evaluate complex laboratory and field data for inclusion in reports.
• Serve as a technical adviser to junior-level project team members.
• Interact directly with the client and project team on the development of the scope of services, as well as communicating project progress, findings, and recommendations.
• Author and prepare routine and complex engineering reports detailing services provided, findings, and recommendations.
• Participate in marketing and business development and adhere to Terracon's client experience standards.
• Supervise graduate, field and project engineering staff.
