Civil Design Engineer

Overview

At Interwest Consulting Group we are expanding our civil engineering design group to meet increasing demand. Our goal is to grow our design capacity and we are seeking talented engineers to join our team and contribute to next-level results. You will be collaborating with a team of experienced designers who support professional development and leverage individual strengths to deliver high-quality, client-focused design solutions.

We focus on civil infrastructure design for roadway and public park improvements, including planimetric layout, grading and drainage, storm water management, wet utility collection and distribution systems, and coordination with dry utilities, the consultant team, clients, and public agencies.

This is a hybrid role with an average of 32 hours per week in our Roseville office and 8 hours per week working remotely. We provide a flexible schedule and equipment for both office and home work environments to support productivity and work-life balance.

We operate with a team of over 300 employees across CA and NV. This role is part of the Interwest and SAFEbuilt collaboration in a hybrid work setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil infrastructure design elements as described for roadways and public works projects, including plan production and specification development.
• Coordinate utility layouts with dry and wet utilities; collaborate with geotechnical, traffic, landscape, lighting, electrical, and other disciplines and stakeholders.
• Prepare supporting calculations and cost estimates; contribute to project documentation and deliverables.
• Manage multiple tasks across concurrent projects and ensure timely completion within budget.

Compensation and Benefits
