Position Details :

  • Patient Population : Mixed, including adult outpatient, pediatric general outpatient, and psychiatric cases.
  • Setting : Emergency Department.
  • Responsibilities : General Emergency Medicine procedures, including ventilation management, central line placement, suturing, EKG interpretation, and more.
  • Required Procedures : Arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and other EM-related procedures.
  • EMR System : Cerner.
  • Support Staff : Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support for 12 hours per day, full ED nursing and tech support, full radiology and lab.
  • Days Per Month : Open dates as provided below.
  • On-Call / Weekends : None. Weekend shifts required as per schedule.

    • 6am 3pm

  • 4pm 1am
  • 9pm 6am
  • Weekend Options :

    • 6am 4pm

  • 8am 6am

    • Submission Requirements :

  • Board Certified (no BE); IM / FM with 2+ years of ED experience Required .
  • Michigan License Required (no IMLC accepted).
  • Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS Required .
  • Local Provider Required (no exceptions).
  • Clean background for quick credentialing Required .
  • December dates availability Required .

    • Expenses :

  • Car, fuel, mileage, and hotel with a $150 cap (including taxes).
  • Malpractice insurance must be included in the rate.
  • Orientation rate is 50% of hourly rate.
  • No reimbursement for Med Staff fees.
