The Job :

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll be part of our Jackson Manufacturing Operations team working as an onsite employee. You'll get to :

• Drive continuous improvement principles throughout the machine shop.
• Day to day manufacturing process support of production teams (methods, tooling, equipment, problem
• solving).
• Provide resources required by the shop floor to meet objectives in safety, quality, delivery, and cost (drawings, time studies, development of production rates, method & tool sheet maintenance, routing maintenance, REA & ECN processing, capacity planning, work center maintenance, new product quoting, standard work development, and P-order (prototype) tracking).
• Ensure process capability by providing necessary resources to the shop floor including equipment, tooling, fixturing, methods, and processes.
• Work closely with manufacturing supervisors as well as other support groups and technical leaders to resolve issues that arise as related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Develops machining processes to meet goals.
• Responsible for implementing cell design and SMED Kaizens in the machining areas to transform value streams to future state.
• Responsible for supporting new product introductions by ensuring machined component process capability and production readiness.
• Facilitates kaizen events for continuous improvement through the elimination of wastes.
