Geotechnical Engineer

We are looking for a driven Geotechnical Engineer to support the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects across a variety of environments. This role offers the opportunity to develop project engineering skills under the guidance of senior staff, while contributing to geotechnical design, fieldwork, and client reporting. Ideal candidates will have hands-on field experience, technical curiosity, and a strong foundation in engineering principles.

Geotechnical Engineer Responsibilities

Conduct field investigations, soil sampling, and laboratory testing to support geotechnical analysis
Assist with report writing, engineering calculations, and the preparation of drawings and specifications
Support Project Engineers and Project Managers with design, budgeting, and scheduling tasks
Perform construction inspections, including concrete, rebar, and earthwork observation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve engineering problems and deliver project milestones
Ensure quality, safety, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Travel to project sites up to 75% of the time for fieldwork

Geotechnical Engineer Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical, or related engineering field

3–5 years of relevant experience; PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 2 years

40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification (preferred)

Experience with tools such as Nuclear Density Gauges, hand augers, and soil classification procedures

Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Rocscience, GSLOPE, Microsoft Office, and related software

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary : $91,000–$121,000

Bonus potential and mileage reimbursement
