Responsibilities

• Monitor scanners, social media, and incoming tips to identify breaking news and developing stories.
• Coordinate coverage by assigning reporters, photographers, and crews to stories in real time.
• Serve as a communication hub for the newsroom, ensuring smooth information flow and accuracy.
• Develop strong relationships with local law enforcement, emergency officials, and community sources.
• Write, edit, and publish timely, accurate, and engaging content to our website, app, and social media platforms.
• Optimize stories with SEO best practices and compelling visuals.
• Engage with our audience online to grow and strengthen Louisiana First News’ digital presence.
• Craft breaking news alerts and push notifications to keep our viewers informed instantly.
