Location : Morristown, NJ 07960 (New Jersey healthcare jobs)

Unit : High Acuity Step-Down Unit (SDU) – comparable to community hospital ICUs

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Shifts per Week : 3

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 18 / 2025, End : 2 / 14 / 2026)

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – required

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

ICU RN Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations

Deliver direct patient care and demonstrate advanced clinical skills in a high-acuity ICU / SDU setting

Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with hospital and healthcare regulations

Uphold professionalism and adhere to hospital policies and procedures

Promote patient and family satisfaction through compassionate, effective communication

Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including patient identification and safe transfer protocols

Provide individualized care for surgical patients, including pre- and post-operative assessment and education

Support the perioperative team by prioritizing patient care and responding to changes in patient condition

Assist with Pre Admission Testing (PAT) and ensure timely completion of required patient testing
