Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to support our organization in Lima, New York. As part of this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in maintaining efficient financial operations by managing invoice processing and ensuring accuracy in payment procedures. This role requires a strong ability to organize, analyze, and process accounts payable tasks with precision and timeliness.

Responsibilities :

Process invoices accurately and ensure proper coding for timely payments.

Conduct regular check runs while adhering to company procedures and deadlines.

Verify invoice details against purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies.

Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions for auditing purposes.

Collaborate with vendors to address payment inquiries and provide excellent communication.

Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts payable activities.

Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in all financial operations.

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in the invoice processing workflow.

Support the team in resolving issues related to accounts payable operations.

Monitor payment schedules and ensure timely disbursement of funds.

Requirements :

Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

Proficiency in coding invoices and processing payments.

Familiarity with check run procedures and invoice management.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies effectively.

Excellent communication skills for vendor interactions and teamwork.

Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and practices.

Competency in using accounting software and tools.
