General Responsibilities :
- Work is fundamental and production oriented.
- For training and professional development purposes, assignments may include work that is typical of entry-level professionals on design and technical tasks.
- Participates as a team member completing planning assignments by applying standardized techniques on a portion of a project, working from the designs of others.
- Duties typically include compiling data, performing design computations, preparing plans and renderings, writing sections of reports and other planning type documents, assisting with producing materials required for presentations and meetings pertaining to both existing and potential projects, revising drawings and plans, research, and performing calculations and basic analytical tasks.
- May be required to assist in organization of files, materials and displays.
- Learn to manage workload within context of schedule and work plan and the process of time management and planning.
Required Education :
Undergraduate Degree in Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or design-related field.Required Experience :
Primary role is to support the project team through entry-level assignments performing a variety of tasks such as drafting plans, compiling data, performing design computations, and assisting in plan preparation and renderings.AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-Up and Microsoft Office Suite skills area required. Lumion skills are a plus.Excellent computer graphic skills are required, and traditional "hand" graphic ability is a plus.Communication skills are desirable.Must have good understanding of new community development, building typologies / densities, residential lotting, mixed-use development, and urban regeneration concepts.Equal Opportunity Employer / Protected Veterans / Individuals with Disabilities
