About The Position

Description :

This is a busy unit with over 400 births in the summer.

Travelers will need to be able to get up to speed quickly.

Core staff in this unit are less experienced, so travelers will be relied on for support.

This unit is classified as Level III Obstetrical.

The facility has a total of 571 staffed beds across its campuses.

Patient census includes approximately 13 labor patients, 20 postpartum patients, and 5 antepartum patients daily.

There are 19 labor and delivery beds and 10 antepartum beds available.

Expectations include working weekends, typically every other week.

Travelers will assist with high-risk deliveries and postpartum care.

Experience in facilities with 200+ deliveries annually is preferred but not mandatory.

All certifications listed are hard stop requirements.

Strong candidates must possess the required skills and experience.

The unit aims for a patient ratio of 1 : 1 in labor and 1 : 3 in postpartum care.

Additional support includes CNAs and surgical techs.

All travelers are required to float within their skill set.
