About The Position

• 2 years Hospital experience as an Ultrasound Tech

Description :

This position involves heavy call.

The unit consists of 4 beds and 1 scanner.

There are 4 Techs on staff, working 24 hours a day in 12-hour shifts.

The patient ratio is 1 : 1.

The equipment used includes GE, 1.5, Discovery 450, X-Ray, MRI, and CT machines.

The EMR system in use is Meditech.

Candidates will be expected to operate equipment that utilizes sound waves to create images of the body's internal structures.

They will create pictures of bones, organs, and tissues to combine for an accurate assessment.

Critical thinking and the ability to work independently are essential skills.

Flexibility is necessary as candidates will be required to work weekends and nights.

Candidates must be adaptable and willing to handle various responsibilities.

The dress code requires gray scrubs for Ultrasound Techs.

The facility specializes in cardiovascular care, neuroscience, oncology services, orthopedics, and women's services.

It is recognized as a teaching facility and ranks among the best in the nation.

This position is a replacement for a contractor.
