Assistant City Administrator (ACA) For Internal Services
The Assistant City Administrator (ACA) for Internal Services is responsible for supporting the City Administrator (CA) in managing the day-to-day operations of Baltimore City Government. Under the direction of the Deputy City Administrator (DCA), the ACA will support a portfolio of agencies that include, the Baltimore City Office of Information Technology, the Office of Performance and Innovation, the Environmental Control Board, Department of Finance, the Department of Human Resources, Office of Equity and Civil Rights (OECR) and the Office of the Labor Commissioner. The ACA will manage complex projects that require interagency coordination and serve as an advisor to the CA and DCA on agency operations. The ACA will support budget analysis, human capital management, and serve as a key liaison between cabinet members, elected officials and the public. The role requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills to serve effectively in a fast paced, complex government environment.

Education : Knowledge of organizational structure, staffing patterns, and administrative controls.

Equivalency Notes : Have an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Eligible candidates under final consideration for appointment to positions identified as positions of trust will be required to complete authorization for a Criminal Background Check and / or Fingerprint screening and must be successfully completed.
All persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory probation.
This position is required to complete a Financial Disclosure pursuant to Sections 7-7, 7-8, and 7-9 of the City Ethics Law.
