Responsibilities Work in a hospital Med-Surg unit caring for a general adult population Twelve-hour day shifts from 06 : 50 to 18 : 50, three days per week Floating required between departments and to local locations within 20 miles Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient care Coordinates care with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Provides clinical supervision to LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel Completion of patient population, age-specific, and protocol education and competency testing as per unit standards is required Must pass required tests or modules during orientation as specified by the unit First-day orientation includes pass / fail testing; termination may occur after two failed attempts Travelers are expected to accept the first offer presented Requirements Active NM or Compact RN license required BLS certification from American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross required Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required Minimum of two years recent Med-Surg experience required At least one prior 13-week travel assignment required EPIC EMR experience preferred, but onsite training available Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no locals allowed Returning perm staff must wait one year before being eligible for travel positions Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-613494.
