About This Job :

We are looking for an experienced, team focused individual to drive our comprehensive Prefer Pay strategy across the Bank. Focus would be to ensure smooth process and transition throughout the entire prefer pay sales and onboarding journey leveraging our existing teams but providing that cohesive and comprehensive support model both internally and to the client throughout the entire sales process.

The Sales & Operations Manager is a senior advisor, multi-faceted role, responsible for providing thought-leadership, strategic consultation, and execution of strategies to internal teams to improve their ability to provide a positive overall experience to the client and to ensure delivery of the client's expectations throughout the sales, contracting, implementation, and account management process.

The Sales & Operations Manager will assist all teams involved including Inside Sales, Marketing, Direct Sales, Solution Consultants, Contracting / OCE, Legal / Compliance, Product / IT, Implementation & Account Management. Meet directly with the aforementioned teams plus VISA VCA and Senior Leadership to uncover more efficient processes and develop recommendations for change, driving efficiency within the Prefer Pay solution set overall.

As customer or market preferences / demand change, this role will be instrumental in addressing early in that process and making recommendations for internal improvements to accommodate and provide better efficiencies. Furthermore, the role will also gage adoption of the platform for new account users to confirm the program is efficiently and effectively being used as expected during the sales process.

Job Summary

The role will ensure strategies and tactics are executed to drive desired returns for the investment in Prefer Pay. This role will provide accountability, transparency, and visibility into the entire sales and onboarding / implementation process while the specific Commerce team members can continue to focus on their specific role / responsibility throughout the customer journey.

Rationale For Role

There are a variety of teams that are currently involved in Prefer Pay including Sales Enablement, Marketing, Direct Sales (AP AEs & AMs, TMOs, HRMs, HREs, Bankers & Market Leadership, etc.), Solution Consultants, Product / IT, Legal / Compliance, Contracting, Implementation, and Account Management. This position will be responsible to provide a seamless and successful transition within each phase previously listed - both internally but also externally to ensure a positive client experience and expectations are aligned throughout the entire sales process.

Essential Functions

  • Motivate teams on identification and execution of processes, resources, and tools to produce deliverables enabling Commerce to scale while creating an open collaboration environment for all levels, with a will to win attitude
  • Lead strategic discovery conversations to understand operations and goals
  • Recommend solutions and prioritization in alignment Company defined Blue Chips and growth goals
  • Facilitate collaboration between internal and external Payment's stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery of the intended outcomes
  • Develop and maintain strategic alignment with business development partners to pursue mutual goals
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with leadership teams to support effective interactions and drive goal attainment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Advanced understanding and application of sales strategies and tool capabilities to execute on the sales processes, knowledge, tools and resources.
  • Advanced understanding of banks current and prospective solution set specific to the areas of investment, and position in the marketplace
  • Advanced understanding of payment strategies, processes, and solutions within the Payments industry
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong aptitude for structured problem solving and quantitative skills, and lead team to effective and efficient technical capability usage regardless of context
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience requires
  • 10+ years payments, sales operations or sales experience required
  • Minimum of 7+ years in business or Sales / Sales Management experience.
  • 3+ years of workflow / process mapping experience
