Job Description

  • This position is for a 12-hour night shift : 7 : 00pm to 7 : 00am (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Tuesday)
  • The night shift position is eligible for a $2 / hr shift differential

Requirements :

  • Tend machines that shred and / or compresses and binds paper by-products generated from the print manufacturing process to facilitate disposition of the waste materials
  • Thread tie bands around bale and twists or clamps ends of bands to tighten bands
  • Opens compression chamber doors and removes bale from machine
  • Truck bales to storage location using air lifts, pallet jacks or hoist trucks
  • Complete daily forklift condition report
  • Weight the bales and keep records of the gross weight, materials grade of the bales
  • Perform routine maintenance on the baling machinery and remove obstructions in the cyclone as needed
  • May load bales on trucks, rail cars for disposal and complete shipping manifest
  • May photograph container and seal for verification purposes

    • Qualifications

  • 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Requires knowledge of standard set ups, adjustments and operating characteristics of the equipment and skill to perform standard adjustments and operate the equipment
  • Ability to set up, operate, and perform basic adjustments to the equipment according to the individual job requirements, operating characteristics, and capabilities of the equipment

    • Additional Information

    The pay range for this role at the noted location is $17.34 to $26.49 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to : education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay. RRD offers benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with match, life insurance, and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus tuition assistance, maternity leave, adoption assistance, and employer / partner discounts.
