Job Description

As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk in Winter Garden, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As an Allied Universal Security Officer assigned to an access control post within a financial institution, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols of the location. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Provide a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activity within the facility.
  • Follow site-specific policies and security-related procedures to support the operations of a financial institution.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Offer customer service to employees, visitors, and / or clients while performing security-related tasks.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas of the business and its perimeter as directed by site procedures.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents or irregularities to appropriate personnel and / or authorities.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols for the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
