What we're looking for
Indorama Ventures- Intermediate Chemicals is looking for an Environmental Team Lead to join our team in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The primary objective of the Environmental Team Lead role is to support the site to document, report, and improve environmental compliance.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of the site Part 70 Operating Permit. This will include, but not limited to, modifications, variances, and renewals, when required. Oversite in development of site reports to demonstrate compliance with the air regulations. This will include, but not limited to, the following : Title V, BWON, ethylene MACT, NNN, ERIC, GHG reporting.
- Oversight of the site Louisiana Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (LPDES) permit. This will include, but not limited to, renewals and modifications, when required. Ensure compliance with the LPDES permit and site stormwater discharge requirements. Oversite and certification of Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs). Maintenance of the site SPCC and SWPP documents.
- Oversight of the RCRA program. Ensure compliance with the EPA and LDEQ waste management regulations. Maintenance of the site RCRA Contingency Plan.
- Manage monthly EHS KPI and sustainability data reporting for the site. This includes reviewing the data for accuracy, data evaluation, and development for global communication work with other departments to complete sustainability questionnaires.
- Regularly attend operations morning meetings.
- Lead incident investigations as related to your discipline, when necessary.
- Develop and review procedures and create training for same.
- Assist with development and / or refinement of work processes to improve communications, workflow, and collaboration between site departments (i.e., operations, maintenance, and engineering).
- Conduct self-assessments within your discipline as well as assist direct reports.
- Support site operations in their need to maintain compliance and provide regulatory interpretations.
- Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.
- Contribute to the Responsible Care 14001 development and support the certification of the site from the environmental perspective.
- Assist other employees in accomplishing Indorama company goals. Follow instructions and perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
- Participate in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in environmental, engineering, or other science REQUIRED.Minimum 8-10 years relevant environmental or sustainability experience in a petrochemical / refining facility and / or corporate officeMust have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft, and Federal Database programs. Excel proficiency is REQUIRED.Experience with Louisiana environmental requirements REQUIRED.Experience with Louisiana Enforcement Process.What do we offer
