ICU Registered Nurse Job Details

Location : Lawrenceburg, TN 38464 (Tennessee nursing jobs)

Facility Setting : Intensive Care Unit (ICU), acute care hospital

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Start Date : November 3, 2025

End Date : December 29, 2025

Contract Duration : 8 weeks

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00pm – 7 : 00am)

Hours per Week : 36 (every other weekend required)

Unit Size : 6-bed ICU

Patient Ratios : 1 : 2 nurse-to-patient ratio

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1630 - $1750

ICU RN Qualifications

Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience (critical care nurse experience preferred)

Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, PALS (must be obtained prior to start date)

Ability to float to non-specialty units as needed

Positive, optimistic, and objective attitude

Successful completion of Tennessee Abuse Registry check

No artificial nails permitted per hospital policy

ICU RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care to adult, geriatric, and seasonal pediatric patients in the ICU

Manage and monitor patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, pneumonia, congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA)

Utilize advanced critical thinking and clinical skills to assess, plan, and implement patient care

Document all care and interventions using Medhost EHR system

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Participate in biweekly orientation sessions (Mondays)

Maintain professional nursing standards and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
