American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with prior travel and charge experience for a night shift position in Maryland, requiring compact or MD RN licensure.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital settingNight shifts (3x12 hours), 19 : 00 to 07 : 30Patient ratio is 1 : 4 in the departmentCaseload includes high-volume emergency departments with at least 125 patients per dayRequired to orient and work in charge roles as neededMay come into contact with COVID-19 patientsCerner EMR experience preferredRNs are expected to prioritize and manage care efficiently in a fast-paced ER environmentMust be comfortable with minimal or no interview prior to hiringScrubs must be purple, not providedPre-employment and orientation modules must be completed as assignedRTO during a contract must not exceed 8 days, and must allow fulfillment of weekly hoursAccepts local candidates at a lower rate if residing within 60 miles of the facility (address must match DL for local status)\n \n Requirements\n
Active MD or compact RN license required at time of considerationAt least 2 years of ED nursing experience requiredMinimum of 1 prior travel assignment requiredCertifications required : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALSMust have recent experience (within past 8 months) working in a high-volume EDSkills required : triage, IV starts, phlebotomy, expert multitasking and organizational abilityTwo supervisor references from within the past 2 years requiredReturn staff must be separated from previous employment at MedStar for a minimum of 1 year\n Benefits\n
