Dental Assistant
Tuesdays and Wednesdays roughly 8am-4 : 30pm, but may adjust depending on school hours. Will support dental clinics at KIPP Columbus (charter school) and Groveport Madison. Open to someone who would be willing to work during the school year only (August through May) - internal candidates who work the rest of their FTE at the main campus clinic are preferred.
Assists in providing dental care to pediatric patients by preparing treatment rooms, taking x-rays, assisting dentists, and educating patients and parents.
Essential Functions :
Education Requirement : Graduate of an accredited dental assistant training program or the equivalent in applicable experience, required.
Licensure Requirement : Licensed to practice dental radiography in the State of Ohio within two weeks of hire, required.
Skills : Robust communication skills, required. Demonstrated ability to treat and teach healthy and medically compromised patients. Possesses good manual dexterity. Ability to monitor nitrous oxide and patient after analgesia is administered.
Experience : Two years of experience as a chairside assistant, required.
