About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Controls Lead to manage, analyze, and support project development and execution within the energy sector. This role supports the Project Manager – Project Controls and works closely with cross-functional teams to track schedules, costs, and contract deliverables, ensuring project milestones and objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with schedule, cost, and budget controls
  • Generate progress and spend curves; prepare internal weekly and monthly reports
  • Review and validate Contractor’s cost, schedule, and progress reports
  • Analyze change requests, schedule delays, recovery plans, and accelerated schedules
  • Collaborate with Schedulers, Cost Accountants, Contracts Managers, Risk Specialists, and IT teams
  • Maintain and update project controls systems, including Primavera P6 and related tools
  • Provide schedule analysis including Critical Path evaluations and reforecasting
  • Lead project team efforts to meet objectives and maintain schedule oversight
  • Develop and maintain project data and reporting interfaces
  • Facilitate schedule reviews and support stakeholder reporting
  • Support milestone payment tracking and progress reporting
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and perform quality audits
  • Perform other duties as assigned (up to 5%)

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the energy industry, including field experience
  • Extensive expertise with Project Controls software such as Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis, Deltek Acumen Fuse, SharePoint, SAP, and Earned Value Management Systems
  • Strong knowledge of major industrial project management (oil, gas, power, LNG)
  • Proficient in cost estimating and cost management best practices
  • Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough understanding of construction management and project controls best practices
  • Skilled in managing multiple schedules and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
  • Work Schedule

    This position requires onsite work at a company facility due to the nature of responsibilities.
