CNC Set-Up Operator

Pay : $22.00 + (open for negotiation - based on experience)

Shifts :   Day Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM

Location : Wheeling, IL

Type : Temp to Hire

Requirements : Resume / Interview / Authorization to work in the U.S.

Our client is a precision manufacturing company specializing in high-quality components and machining solutions. They are seeking skilled CNC Operators to join their growing team and support operations on both day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC lathes and mills with Mazak and Haas equipment.

Work with Mazak and Fanuc controls.

Perform machine set-ups : install fixtures, load tools, and touch off tools.

Input and run CNC programs (no programming experience required).

Produce first-piece inspections and make minor program edits as needed.

Monitor machine operation to ensure quality and efficiency.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Follow company safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

Prior experience as a CNC Operator (lathes or mills).

Familiarity with Mazak, Haas, and / or Fanuc controls.

Ability to perform set-ups, tool changes, and first-piece inspections.

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

Reliable, punctual, and willing to work either day or night shifts.
