PCU Registered Nurse Job Details

Job Title : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN)

Location : Middle Township, New Jersey (Cape May County, Zip : 08210)

Healthcare Setting : On-site, Progressive Care Unit

Schedule : 36 hours per week, Friday-Sunday (Nights / Weekends)

Contract Duration : 8 weeks (potential to extend)

Start Date : November 12, 2025

End Date : January 3, 2026

Pay Rate : $85.56 per hour (Estimated weekly salary : $1,930 - $2,070)

PCU RN Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of recent Progressive Care Unit RN experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility

Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (NJ-RN) License

Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certifications

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification

Proficiency with EPIC EMR (Electronic Medical Records)

Ability to float to Medical Surgical Telemetry (MST) and similar units as needed

Availability to work during holidays (no holiday RTO)

Fully vaccinated for Influenza and COVID-19, including at least one booster

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit

Float to Medical Surgical Telemetry and related units as required

Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Respond to emergencies and provide advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)

Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations
