Overview

Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant / Cart Attendant) (T0828) at Target. Starting hourly rate : $19.50 USD per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
  • Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs and resolve concerns.
  • Be knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to solve issues and improve guest experience.
  • Thank guests and reinforce that you are glad they chose to shop at Target.
  • Promote and assist with Target Loyalty programs and enroll guests as needed.
  • Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and policies.
  • Minimize guest wait time while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
  • Explain and demonstrate features and benefits of the Target App, including Wallet; assist with Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and online ordering.
  • Assist with returns following store policies, with escalation to Leaders when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to guests.
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
  • Support guest services such as order pickup, Drive-Up, and related duties while complying with applicable laws (e.g., adult beverage laws where applicable).
  • Perform other duties based on business needs.

  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Willingness to educate guests and engage around products and services.
  • Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology; work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks within set timeframes.

    • Basic Qualifications

  • Accurate checkout operations and cash handling as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally with or without assistance.
  • Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance.
  • Mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions depending on duties (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
