Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position in California, requiring a CA RN license and prior telemetry experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital Med / Surg Telemetry unit
  • Night shifts (3x12 hours), 19 : 00 to 07 : 00
  • Every other weekend required
  • On-call assignments as needed
  • May float to other units within scope of practice and between campuses
  • Shuttle service provided for campus floats
  • Responsible for comprehensive assessment, coordination, and evaluation of nursing care
  • Delivers individualized, holistic care to patients
  • Provides patient and family education and ensures effective transitions of care
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Expected to adhere to hospital policies and best practice standards
  • May serve as a clinical resource and mentor to new staff
  • 50 mile radius rule applies to all applicants
  • Former employees must have at least one year break in service before returning as a traveler
  • Only one holiday off will be approved during the assignment
  • Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing acceptance

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Minimum of 2 years RN experience required
  • Prior telemetry experience required
  • EKG experience preferred
