Essential Job Functions :
- Ensures staff complies with approved Surveillance policies and procedures.
- Performs electronic and visual surveillance of gaming floor, casino cage, count rooms and other areas designated for surveillance.
- Identifies persons engaged in cheating, theft, embezzlement and other illegal activities or activities inconsistent with established gaming procedures and or regulations.
- Notifies and involves management of suspicious or illegal activities.
- Cooperates with regulatory personnel and agencies as directed.
- Prepares daily shift and other reports.
- Address employee performance issues, coach, and mentor employees, provide ongoing feedback and discuss with the Director Surveillance and Operations Manager Surveillance.
- Handles scheduling for their assigned shift to ensure department has the necessary staffing.
- Ensures that the shift is running efficiently and effectively and completing their assigned tasks.
- Ensures that all logs and reports are written clear and concise with all the prudent information.
- Ensure all videos are saved adequately.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory controls both internal and external including but not limited to the state and federal laws and the New York State Gaming Commission regulations.
- Assist the Director Surveillance in the overall operation of the Surveillance department; assumes responsibility for the Director in his absence.
- Assist with the training and development of staff on assigned shift.
- Hires, trains and manages staff in accordance with organizational and approved departmental standards, policies, and programs.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Must be 21 years of age or older.High school diploma or equivalent.Three or more years casino surveillance experience; one or more years management experience.Knowledge of video management systems preferred.Good computer skills required.Must be able to train employees on the computer.Possess a thorough understanding of all casino surveillance activities including exceptional knowledge of all table games and game protection.Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.Excellent verbal and written communication in English required.Available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.Working Conditions :
